This is a version change, not just a service pack. The service pack number is reset to zero. After installing this version, each workstation, server, or application database will be automatically processed the first time you open it. You will be asked for comfirmation before any processing is performed, and as a precaution, a backup is made automatically before each conversion.
What's New
This version adds several database integrity checks that automatically fix problems as they arise. These checks will become part of more general database integrity checking and fixing utilities (nvcheck and nvreorg) that will be introduced in subsequent versions.
This is a version change and some conversion work is performed on each database opened with this version. During the conversion the new database integrity checks are performed automatcally.
Although this version does not fix any bugs, it does detect and fix some dangling index records that were introduced by previous bugs that were fixed in earlier versions. These dangling records were harmless but caused nasty visual side-effects in some postings tables and this version cleans them up.
